Dominican Republic / Haiti

We were privileged to take a group of 80 Youth on a cultural excursion and mission trip to the Dominican Republic and Haiti in 2010.

From the moment we stepped off of the plane you could see the light bulbs illuminating in their minds.  Many of them were astonished to see black people, that look like them, speaking Spanish as their native language.

Many students also mentioned how sad they felt seeing a level of poverty they had never seen before.  This coupled with the projects we participated in clearly left an indelible impression on these teens.

This was truly a life changing experience.

For 2024, we are excited to be taking one dozen High School Students to the birth place of our nation and a city rich in African-American History and cultural diversity.

This experience will emphasize the rich contributions African-Americans have made to the founding of our country and the unsung greats who often go unmentioned.

Students will understand the powerful ancestry from which they come and be inspired to achieve higher heights for their own lives.

And yes, we will eat an authentic Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich!

Washington D.C.

Words cannot express how excited we are to offer this experience.  We will be spending two days visiting a number of informative and inspiring locations this August 2024.

We will visit our Nation’s capital and arguably the most important city in our country.  This trip includes a full day in the Smithsonian Museum of African-American Culture and a tantalizing soul food dinner to boot.  We will also visit such monuments as Abraham Lincoln and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Howard University is definitely on the itinerary as we continue to inspire higher education and hear from one of it’s black professors, and more.
